Today I want to introduce you to two good friends: the marinated pork breast accompanied by one of his best friends & # 8230 cold oriental salad.

For this tender and juicy steak we must choose a pork breast with bone and, obviously, mouse. My recommendation is to buy the meat from a local producer. It is much tastier and more tender than imported meat, sold by large supermarket chains.

  • 800 grams pork breast / 800 grams short rib
  • 1 white onion
  • 5 cloves of garlic / 5 garlic cloves
  • 250 ml milk / 250 ml milk
  • 6 large potatoes / 6 big potatoes
  • 2 red onions / 2 red onions
  • 3 pieces pickled peppers
  • 2 pickles / 2 pickles
  • 3 oua / 3 eggs

Cut the pork breast into slices and sprinkle with salt. We place it in a bowl with a lid. On top add diced white onions, crushed garlic and milk. Leave to marinate in the refrigerator. It would be preferable to leave it overnight.

Before preparing the meat, take it out of the fridge and clean the marinade from each slice of meat. Then leave at room temperature for an hour. Put the slices of meat in a tray with a lid, without overlapping them, pour a cup of water and put it in the hot oven, at 180 degrees, for an hour. After an hour, remove the lid and leave until the meat is nicely browned, about 15 & # 8211 20 minutes.

For the oriental salad, peel the potatoes, cut them in half and then slices. I boiled the potatoes in the steamer for 20 minutes. If you do not have such a device, I recommend using smaller potatoes that you wash well and boil with the peel.

We mix the boiled potatoes with pickled donuts, cucumbers and sliced ​​red onions. Add salt, olive oil and vinegar. Personally, I like to use pickled donut vinegar because it tastes sweet. At the end we add sliced ​​olives and eggs. In order to satisfy the tastes, we leave it to cool for a few hours.

For those who fast, it is a very good option to diversify the menu but also to eat something tasty and healthy. Its advantage is that it can be served both as a main course and as an appetizer. Oriental salad can be prepared at any time, not necessarily on an empty stomach and we can combine vegetables depending on the season. The basic ingredients are: potatoes, onions and olives. Potatoes are very important in this recipe, it would be desirable to buy potatoes for boiling, from those that do not crumble. I used red potatoes that kept their shape very well in cooking. The rest of the ingredients can be replaced such as: cucumber can be fresh or pickled and pickled donut can also be replaced with fresh. During the period when we are not fasting, boiled eggs are indispensable in this salad, giving the salad an extra taste. In this recipe I used olive oil but you can use any oil you want. And to get a perfect taste I added lemon juice, it can be replaced with vinegar. Leave the oriental salad in the fridge for at least 30 minutes, to combine all the flavors. It is incredibly delicious and can be served as such or as a side dish with a portion of fish.

Quickly before, I prepared an oriental salad, I say, even if it doesn't have olives (I don't eat them and I only use them occasionally, in decoration). Anyway, it's delicious and filling!
Ingredients: Oriental Salad

1.5 kg smaller potatoes
4 eggs
1 medium red onion
A few green onion tails
1/2 lgt turmeric (optional)
Salt and pepper to taste
2-3 lg oil
Vinegar to taste
Preparation Oriental salad

Wash the potatoes well and boil them, with the peel, in salted water, until a fork enters them

Drain the water and leave to cool then peel the potatoes and cut into suitable cubes
Peel a squash, grate it and chop the green leaves (or as you prefer).
Peel the eggs and cut them into slices
Add salt, pepper, turmeric, oil and vinegar then mix everything gently
It is served plain or as a side dish to meat (I had grilled wings) or fish


Instructions

Oriental salad with mushrooms, a practical, fasting recipe, easy to make and with huge health benefits.

Boil the peeled potatoes in salted water. We clean the mushrooms from the dirty stalks, then we heat them in a pan with a tablespoon of oil. When the mushrooms leave the water, turn the cooker on harder to evaporate the water quickly and lightly soak it in oil for a better taste.

We stop the fire when they have hardened and let it cool. Meanwhile, boil the potatoes and peel them after they have cooled a bit and cut them into larger cubes.

Cut the red onion into juliennes and add it over the potatoes. Add the mushrooms, chopped green onions, chopped parsley, olives and season with salt and pepper. Olive oil is added at the end with a drop of apple cider vinegar.
This recipe can be served as a cold salad but also as a hot salad.
