Chicken sausages in dough

1. Mix the yeast with the sugar until liquefied, add a little warm milk and a little flour and leave to rise.

2. Add the beaten egg, salt and flour, then gradually the warm milk. We start kneading with the help of oil, until the dough starts to come off the walls of the bowl. Leave to rise until the dough doubles in volume.

3. Spread a thin sheet, about 1/2 cm and cut strips 2 cm wide and 20 cm long. If we have longer sausages, then the length of the strip will be longer.

4. Roll the dough on the sausage, then place it in a tray lined with baking paper, leaving space between them. Grease them with the mixture of egg and milk and sprinkle over the poppy seeds. (I miss the picture from this step) Let it rise for 10-15 minutes after which we bake them in the preheated oven until they are well browned.

5. Serve with mustard, possibly with ketchup.

"Traditional" pork sausage wheel with mustard

If you have not decided what you are going to prepare for dinner, we urge you to try this recipe. All you need to do is go to one of the ROGOB stores and buy Traditional Pork Sausages. The easiest thing to do is to grease them with a mustard sauce and put them in the oven. So simple, but so delicious!


  • 1 kg. - "Traditional" pork sausages
  • 2 tbsp & # 8211 mustard with berries
  • 1 tbsp & # 8211 soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon & # 8211 grated ginger

The preparation process

Preheat the oven to 200 degrees C. 2. Roll a large piece of paper under the water jet, then spread it on a baking tray. Roll the sausages in the shape of a large wheel. Secure it with wooden pegs.

Prepare the sauce: Put 2 tablespoons of mustard in a bowl, then add soy sauce and ginger. Mix well until flavors are incorporated.

Place the sausage wheel on the paper-lined tray and grease the top with about ½ of the amount of sauce prepared earlier. Put the sausages in the oven and cook for about 10-15 minutes. Then take them out, turn them on the other side and grease them with the rest of the sauce and also put them in the oven for another 10-15 minutes or until they brown nicely. Serve with mashed potatoes and fresh salad.

Sausages in fathead dough

From the moment I first tried this type of dough, the idea came to my mind to use it to wrap some sausages. Now that I've implemented it, I wonder, why did I wait so long? The sausages turned out incredibly good. They seem ideal as an appetizer, both for adults and especially for children. They are just as good to be taken on a trip or on a picnic. The important part is to find some sausages with a clean label. I used a Romanian brand, which has the following composition:

  • 150 g cheese (softer)
  • 50 g cream cheese
  • 1 or
  • salt
  • 120 g of almond flour
  • ½ teaspoon of xanthan gum
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • 10-12 sausages (I had 4 longer ones and cut them into several segments)

Grate the cheese, add the cream cheese and melt for 1 minute in the microwave, mix the composition well, then leave for another 30 seconds, if necessary. The cheese must be completely melted, drained from the pallet. In the absence of the microwave, you can melt the cheeses in a pot with a thick bottom, on the lowest heat on the stove, stirring constantly, until the homogeneous composition is obtained.

Leave to cool a little (2-3 minutes), then incorporate the egg, stirring constantly. Add the almond flour, baking powder, xanthan gum and salt. Homogenize with a spatula or hands until a uniform, slightly sticky dough is obtained.

The dough is spread on a silicone foil (or baking paper) greased with a little coconut oil, in a rectangular shape, 3-4 mm thick. Cut 1-1.5 cm wide strips. Each sausage is wrapped in strips of dough. If leftover dough remains, it is kneaded and stretched again. If your sausages are finished, the leftovers can be cooked so easily, you get some delicious pickles.

The sausages wrapped in dough are placed on a tray and put in the oven over medium heat (170 degrees C). They keep browning, but make sure this happens quickly. The sausages are taken out of the oven and served hot, but they are good and cold. They can be easily reheated both in the microwave and on a steam sieve.

    Sausages in the dough

    A fun and quick appetizer to make, for special occasions or parties with friends. The sausages in the dough go very well with beer and lots of fun!

    1. For the dough, put the flour in a bowl, dissolve the salt in water and pour over the flour. Mix well and then spread the dough on the table, in a sheet one cm thick.

    2. Place the butter in the middle of the sheet and cover with the four corners of the sheet. It is spread again in a sheet one cm thick and folded in three. Let the dough rest for an hour.

    3. Then, the dough is stretched 3 times in length and 3 times in width, alternating one stretch in length, wrapping in three and then stretching in width.

    4. After these operations have been done, the dough is finally spread, the strips are cut to the width of the sausage, which is rolled and placed in the baking tray. Sprinkle with poppy seeds and leave in the oven for 15 minutes.
